It has become a yearly tradition that we spend a long weekend in Vienna. With a direct train connection going from Stuttgart being available since last year, the journey is less of a burden.

Last year we weren’t sure if we will do it again - with the little one we spent the days on playgrounds in another city but didn’t see many sights.

This year, we still spend time on playgrounds, but we visited nice „child-friendly“ museums, too.

We went to the OCEAN exhibition in the Child Museum. A nice indoor playground with an underwater theme.

The „House of Music“ also was a blast. Not only focused on classical composers, but more broadly including instruments, and - a favorite - pulsars.

The technical museum is a great experience, too. But way too big for a three year old. We spend two hours there and saw a small portion of it. We need to return.

My food-highlights were the falafel from VeAhavta, the best ones I had in years, and the „Vollpension Cafe“ , where grandmas and grandpas bake and serve. Both food links go to Google Maps.

We will return.
